As my first craft project, I wanted to go for something simple. A major problem I've always personally faced was where to store my jewellery, but also have my jewellery on display where I can access it on a daily basis. Although this design is super simple and quick to make, it ticks the desired boxes and is a perfect little accent piece to any room.

In terms of materials, I used scrap pieces of wood i had left over from previous projects. The wood used was MDF as it is extremely cheap and accessible but can also be painted to create the desired aesthetic. The pole used is a reused marshmallow 'kebab' which I washed thoroughly before use. Both materials I had at hand and thought would look ideal together.
The process of creating the product was also very simple. I measured and marked the wood to the size I wanted and marked where the hole for the pole would be. Once the marking was done, all that was left was to cut the wood to size using a jigsaw and a clamp. To create the hole, a hand drill was used with a 6mm drill bit as that was the size of my pole.
All that was left was to paint the wood and slide the pole into the holes in the wood.
Although this product was so simple and quick to make, it is a great little addition and I really enjoyed the entire process.
